Presented to the general public for the first time in a Golf Club in Rome in April 1946 the Vespa is recognised world wide as a symbol of its native country, Italy. Its origins are Florence, Tuscany.
According to ItalianCulture.net, the history of modern designer fashion began in Italy in the early 1950's, when a wealthy benefactor held a fashion show in Florence in his private home. Italian fashion soon became the property of the upper classes, appearing on the silver screen. The rest as they say is history, but ultimately manufacturing increased, prices decreased and Italian fashion was born. It quickly became synonymous with elegance and the highest quality.
